It's free on Sundays so that's great! The museum itself is communist looking and a lot of the exhibits are only tagged in Polish. You can leave your stuff in a locker. Most of the exhibits are reconstructions and can be fairly educational if you don't know anything about the topic, but for me, coming from Eastern Europe it wasn't that enlightening. Staff is friendly but they hardly speak anything but Polish

Lovely museum of Polish history which happens to be free on Sundays! I loved the life sized model exhibits of traditional Polish houses, school rooms and some industries. I’d love if there were a bit more descriptions on the signs as to why things were made/ designed in such a way, otherwise very nice to look at. Great art show on top floor as well. Amazing modern and old pieces.

Dozens of beautifully displayed regional costumes!! The customs of the differing holiday celebration s are well represented. This was highlight of our Krakow visit.

An interesting and vivid experience. Interactive parts of the exposition were actually amusing. The only downside is the price of the tickets.

In the former Kazmierz Rynek. Lots of artifacts of farming, carpentry, crafting implements upstairs, some nice recreations of old classrooms, smitheries, etc downstairs. Much religious art.

If you have no time for a nice big skansen - come here! Museum has a great collection of polish ethnic artefacts, starting from some small agricultural instruments and finishing with three authentically furnished halls from 18-19 century from different parts of Małopolska. Highly recommended for the antiques lovers.

Not too big of a museum, which was great for us. Some folk art, clothes from different eras from all over Poland. We were there in the morning and it wasn't busy at all, so you have all the space to look around. I liked the little room dedicated to old time clothes printing. They'll give you a key for a locker to put your bag in, for free.
