One of the most important tourist attractions in Kraków, very beautiful architecture with an amazing nature surrounding, the view to the river is amazing also, during summer time a trip in the river would be such a great idea.

Wawel is a unique 'must see' experience. Exhibitions are well organised, some with English speaking guide. Prices are reasonable and it is really worth seeing. However, there are some things that can be improved. Below, there is a list of few examples: 1) No internet booking available in XXI century. You need to buy your tickets in a booth which may result in at least 30 min waiting in a queue. And I mean 30 min outside of the season, where queues are not as big as in July-August. 2) There is no option to but one ticket for visiting the whole castle. You buy a ticket for separate exhibitions which is rather confusing. 3) If you are travelling with children you must have their IDs when buying tickets. Otherwise they will sell you an adult ticket for a child. This is ridiculous but you can still meet that kind of approach in ex-soviet block countries including Krakow and Wawel Castle. The child I was travelling with was 13 y.o. and I tried to explain she was between schools so she would not have any school ID at that time but the soviet methods of selling tickets are well embedded there and I had to pay for an adult ticket for her.
