I am from America and was living in a small town outside of Kraków where nobody spoke English. I needed to learn the language to be able to get by, so I started researching the best language schools in and around the Kraków area. Varia immediately came up in my search. I chose Varia because, after research, I discovered they are a school that ONLY teaches Polish...so of course they must have the method and process of teaching down! I took the A1.1 online, 2-week intensive course. My two instructors were Agnieszka and Kamila. Each instructor had her own style of teaching, but they were very thorough and patient, explained the answers to every question we asked, and they were very intuitive to if/when they needed to get “off track” slightly in order to go with the flow of things that might not have necessarily been on the page. They also went in-depth with explanations of WHY and HOW words and phrases came into existence for the Polish language. If you are wanting to learn the basics of Polish encourage you to take the online, 2-week intensive course through Varia. You will be so happy you did, and you will have the booklet of material to keep for a lifetime. :)

Over the last three years, I have spent the summers and one full academic year studying Polish with VARIA. My time there was a success, I have achieved a B2 level in the Polish language! Wow... what a challenge! My thanks go to VARIA and the way they challenged and supported my efforts through my struggle (a struggle only because Polish is VERY challenging for native English speakers! ). Good things are worth doing and VARIA's environment of small groups and one-on-one instruction maximized my skills in conversational Polish. The teachers are all professionals, that shows in their care for their students, they pushed me to succeed and I benefitted greatly from their efforts! Totally recommend VARIA!

I was student of Asia. She was one of the best teacher I had. She is friendly and try to do her best. Except her other staff and lecturer were also nice. This course contributed my Polish very well. I will continue attending new course when winter comes.

I believe that is one of the best language schools in Kraków to learn Polish! I say not \the best one\, because I have nothing to compare with. After I have tried this one,, I have never wanted to change it to anything else. My course is finishing soon and I will miss it much. My teacher Magda was super involved in the lessons, we had topics that we wanted and liked, we did only useful activities and interesting home works. There is nothing I would change. They have different levels, use different methods, there are many free things like thematic lectures and workshops, movies or parties that can insure that you will have some extra fracture in talking. Reception and teachers are always open to help. Very very recommended from my side!
