It was a very cozy local museum that showcases local customs and wildlife. There was a nice narrative of the local culture there, I really enjoyed what the curators have put together. For a small museum, it has a pretty impressive collection of minerals, plant specimens and various wildlife. I spent some time admiring the bronze topographical map and had fun trying to identify where I’ve been to on the map. The downside was that there was no english description, so we could only rely on a double-sided A4 info sheet given at the reception for information. While it is surprisingly informative, it took away some enjoyment of the exhibit.

You have to but ticket to get inside main musuem. The musem has 2 floors where you can see the history of this region and its one of the oldest museum in Poland. Intersting place very detailed history about people from mountains, the famous people from this region, animals of the region, lifestyle of people, old maps and many other info. Nice place to visit to know this region well. But almost all the explaination in Polish.

Deviating to the opening hours on the website, the museum is closed since a couple of months for renovation. Why do they conceal this on their website? We went there and ran into the construction site. Frustrating.
