The museum has a large, free garden. There was an exhibition in the basement about the history of the building as a fortress, a monastery, and a prison (displays all in Polish). Weirdly the main part of the museum had no lights on or staff, and with several staircases I had to abandon looking around. The ticket vendor didn't speak English and my Polish wasn't up to explaining the illumination deficiency. I'll try again next time I'm in Poland

Great if you're interested in ancient Egyptian sarcophagi and mummies, not worth visiting otherwise. Seriously, I'd recommend you see the section on ancient Egypt (at the start of the viewing route) and then leave, unless you need to spend your time somehow. Took me around 40 minutes to see everything, but you could spend more if you're really interested.
Small museum containing Egyptian, Peruvian, medieval and neolithic objects. Staff were helpful and friendly. All signs and information was in Polish (as it should be) but nearly none of it was translated which makes it difficult to understand all of the exhibits.
One of the worst museum experiences I ever had! This was not only my first museum to visit in Krakow but the first in Poland and it left a bad taste. Firstly, the yard is beautiful and the building itself is grandiose. However the price is ridiculously high for the temporary exhibition. There is very few local archeological info and the Pompeii, Egyptian and Peruvian stuff is not much to look at. The main problem is the lighting, I understand that these are fragile exhibits but you can hardly see anything. Most of the texts are Polish only and the staff don't speak English or French, German wtvr. The rooms are organized in a very bad manner, I visited half of the Pompeii stuff after visiting the rest of the museum. Terrible, hope this is not the standard in Poland
Audio wasn't working so couldn't get English translation. Good to see the history of Krakow through artefacts.
Beatiful garden with night lights Roses and many flowers
Good exhibits with local artifacts amd those from Egypt and Peru
Museum is closed (likely because of COVID)
