Simply station, unattended by staff, but nice at least.

Beautiful Station. Then and now.

Good and freshly renovated train station. Pay attention with the ticket machine inside the building when using the train to Katowice though. We bought tickets there and they appeared to be not valid for the train to Katowice sinfe it is a different company.

A run down dump that is so badly in need of upgrade work it's not funny. Extra star for it being functional at least.

The staff don't speak English which makes it a bit difficult to book a ticket or reservation or just if you need help. Also this train station is advertised as having lockers to store your luggage in but it doesn't. When I asked about it the lady said I could put my stuff in her room for 5 zloty which seemed a bit dodgey but I was going to auschwitz for the day and couldn't carry all my luggage with me so I paid the woman and kept my luggage there while I went to Auschwitz but when I returned to get my luggage she wanted another 5 zloty from me! I paid because I feared I wouldn't get my stuff back if I didn't and the two ladies working there kept talking in polish and laughing like they knew they were mugging me off and didn't care. As a young solo female traveler I did not feel safe or comfortable using this train station and was glad to get out of there even if it was on an ancient train covered in graffiti where the door doesn't close properly.

The regio Train from AUSCHWITZ to KRAKÓW is very, very slow. The journey takes more than two hours. Better if you take a private minibus tour to AUSCHWITZ.

Most of the station is shut down but it has as small waiting room on the road side with limited facilities. Domestic Train Ticket sales (you can’t by the international sleeper train ticket). Also available is a toilet (2plz) and luggage storage room (5plz). Limited English spoken by staff.
