Medical University of Lublin has its origins in the year 1944 in Lublin, Poland. The University gained its autonomy in 1950. As the years passed, new departments were added such as the Department of Dentistry in 1973. An agreement with the Hope Medical Institute from the United States was signed in the early 1990s, which initiated a program of teaching medicine to English-speaking students at the Medical University of Lublin. Thereafter a 4 year MD program was formed. The teaching program covers all branches of modern medicine and is comparable to medical programs in the US. Through its partner Hope Medical Institute, the Medical University provides the last two years of medical school (Clinical Rotations) to eligible students in the US and Canada. The University maintains lively international scientific contacts in cooperation Hvidovre Hospital in Copenhagen, Denmark; Ziekenhuis-Tilburg Hospital (Netherlands), and Lvov Medical University located in Ukraine, among others.

Really bad system and organization of the university. The school took so many money, but when it comes to our students requests they just ignore them. For example, some changes of exam date or application of some documents. It takes like forever to get it, and always want us to wait, then they forget it! Never cares about how it makes our life more difficult. The secretary responsible for English program are not responding to our emails, and lack of effective communication with the hospital system always lead us running between the dean’s office and hospitals, professors, doctors. Pushing the question away like it will solves by itself. It’s not an occasional incident, every medical students around me have experienced the same difficulties communicating with the school. The schools also keeps losing our documents and grades, then wanted us to take the responsibility for their mistake, which is so apparent that the school organization is not ready to take care of so many students. I will definitely not recommend any students to study here.

Uczelnia jest wysokiej klasy. Zajęcia są ciekawe, wykładowcy z pasją. Dużo nauki, ale jak człowiek dobrze się zorganizuje to i na życie towarzyskie starczy czasu. :)
