The most delicious sushi and lovely people in a super cool setting. Really interesting combos and creations, the salmon cake OMG. Also loved that they make their own kombucha. Everything was next level tasty, the wall art and music added the perfect cool finishing touches (the music playing was older than anyone working there, where as I was alive in the 80s ) Staff taster recommendations were all fantastic, I adored the lady who served us she was so nice and full of energy. Loved this place and will defo be back soon!
Let me start with this: many places deserve 4 or 5 stars. I give 5 stars to places I would come back any time. If I could give 6 stars for Youmiko Sushi, I would. I could eat here every day, twice. This tiny places serves among the best sushi I have eaten, period. We had the Omasake tasting menu for 2 and were very full in the end. Pair it with a nice glass of wine or a Japanese beer and you will have the best night. To make things even better, their staff is very friendly and forthcoming. When we asked to get more tea, they didn’t ‘sell’ us another pot but suggested we top it up with hot water, at no cost. Now that’s service excellence! The food was too good to waste time taking many pictures. Go try it yourself and send me your bill if you’re not happy (joke - it won’t be necessary!).
Small place full of soul, we went on a vegan night with only vegan options. All beautifully made sushi pieces and very good combination of flavours!
It’s a shame, food was really good and tasty, however... service was poor, hence the three stars. The food is up to scratch and does itch that sushi craving, the slight polish touch to the delicate dishes makes the experience unique. In total, we spent over an hour and half for 7 sets of sushi (2 sushi in a set, and one sushi roll) it just took forever for the food to come out, and the place was not even full of people. The price is decent, but I would not recommend for ‘a quick bite’.
Very cool experience, wonderful menu and they can prepare everything in a vegan version. Great service. Small place but definitely worth it!
Wow what an experience! Definitely incredible fresh tasting sushi spun in a modern fusion style by Peter Ewy and his crew of Sushi Chefs. It's a must stop in The Jewish old town between bar hoping.
