It's impossible to find a prepaid nano-SIM card in Krakow, so I purchased a micro-SIM and set out to do surgery on it. For that, I needed a needle, a sharp pair of scissors, and sandpaper. To that end, we found this pasmanteria in a lovely neighborhood near Wawel castle. The lighting, display cases, and diversity of trade goods made an immediate impression; the store is charming, without being needlessly cluttered or kitschy. What left an even greater impression, however, were the owners. They were friendly and accommodating, set me up with a table, and gave me everything I needed. While a tourist shouldn't feel entitled to such things, I'll note that our host demonstrated utmost mastery of the English language and diction. Despite our insistence, they refused any payment for services rendered. I heartily recommend this shop for locals and tourists alike. You'll be well-attended and provided with all the material, implements, and guidance you require.
