We booked an automatic Nissan Qashqai or similar and got a pretty new automatic Kia Sportage for 5 days at a price that was better than the competitive's could offer. The Global Rent a Car representative at the airport was very friendly and customer service oriented and spoke good English. I don't think the reviews here reflect all people's experience with this rental agency and from my experience I can recommend it.

RUN AWAY! This company may sound cheap at first but the extras will come after you return the car. They will find scratches that probably you did not notice at the moment of pick up and they will charge your Credit Card later.
They are a thieves They are a thieves . Looking for a reason to charge extra money. In my case they did not accept my credit card because there was only initial of my first name. I used this card before in many places, including global and was OK. This time I had to pay additional costs over 100, or staty in the middle of the night in Poznan Airport. Previously they charged my credit card an additional money because I did not provided receipt of fueling. I left them original, that's why they was sure that I can't provide again. They did not take fact that tank was full. Just THIEVES!!! Strongly advice keep away from them
Avoid booking with them. Upon arrival they refused to accept my credit card for the deposit because it was expiring in two months (the booking was for a just few days). They said they will accept it only if I take all the extras worth 3 times the original price. Proper con artists. I walked away without a car and I couldn't get a car anywhere else in such a short notice (or was offered really expensive ones). This whole operation is a scam, they said they need a card with at least 6 months life before the expiry date which gives them 50/50 chance amongst customers to find one who's card is less then that - and then they will.try to con them for 3x times the price. Avoid
Depending on who is at the desk you can have a good, or a really bad experience. if Daniel is there, you will most likely walk out without a car, or you will end up paying 3 times more, as he will find one reason after another to not accept your documents or (perfectly good) credit card. That is the case even if you prepaid your reservation. Of course the fix for everything is to pay 3 times more, and then there are no issues at all. This was the case both for me, and the dude from Holland in line before me.
This review is about the Krakow branch, but because it seems like these are standard operating procedures at Global Rent a Car, I am leaving the review here as well: Total scam! Avoid at all cost! I usually never have problems with car rental agencies, so I gave them my trust when I returned my rental car to the Krakow airport on March 11. As I was going through security, the employee took inventory of damages of the car (while I wasn't there with him). Got the report in my email and it looked good as I was in line at security. A few days later I suddenly receive an invoice of about 1600 Zloty (approx. 350 euro) for damages that weren't there when I handed the car in. I went back to the form, and I saw they added a ew\ damage by making an extremely small mark on the form (approx 1mm). Obviously I wasn't able to see that on the screen of my phone when I was standing in line at security. Contacted the company. There is way to get through to the desk in Krakow. Complained at AutoEurope. They feel sorry, but can't do anything. In spite of all the similar (negative) reviews here and on TrustPilot they just keep the company on their website... Who's next to be scammed by these people?
I made reservation but they left the office very early before leaving me any information. totally disappointment. I never recommend them. fraud alert!
Warning!!! Be careful - this company will try to charge you for everything doesn't matter if they should. 1. I left parking ticket inside the car (very well visible). They charged me 30 because of the lack of parking ticket 2. I gave back the car 10 minutes before the office was open, and I put keys in to the dedicated box (additional 26) 3. I didn't notice one 4cm scratch on the bumper, when I collected the car, they charged me for that scratch 330 I rented, in my live several dozen cars (privately and as a business car), but I never meet such situation. *To be clear I have additional insurance, so I will have back that money, but it is really inappropriate approach
