A very nice museum filled with various ambers. It's quite small but worth to visit. Although, it's not worthy to pay for climbing viewing platform, better visit basilica.
Quite nice museum - the collection is bigger than I thought, it tells everything about Baltic Amber: its natural origins, and how its trade made Danzig develop into an important city. It presents everything from jewellery from different centuries, stones that contains fossil remains of bugs' bits and even whole bodies.
Visited last year. Great exposition, nice views from the top. I think the women who were watching the exibition were looking forward to see us gone and themselves go home.
Crowded to the point of being impossible to visit and the exhibits are not that great, maybe a bit more explanations would be better for the whole experience. The building itself is much more interesting than the Amber museum
Marvelous museum full of different varieties of amber both jewelry and natural pieces. Perfect for group visit with kids. Definitely recommended!
If you are polish you're likely to have a more fulfilling experience than if you are a foreigner as most of the info is in polish. They have some really nice displays and for the little price it is to buy a ticket it's not bad, the extra 5 sloty to visit the tower is up for debate, it's really not a great view and there are other places that offer a greater view, but again the price is very low.
Small and rich in diverse amber stones, jewellery and art. Some exhibitions with English caption, but individual items only in Polish language. Bring your Google translate! We needed 1 hour for the exhibition in the old gate and prison, had to wait 20 mins in the shade, some stairs need to be climbed!
