Great Food. But when we arrived we were only told that the coffee machine was broken afterwards. We talked to the waitress, said how much we like coffee, but ok, we ordered a juice. When we were leaving I saw coffee being served to other people. I asked if they had coffee and we said that the machine had been fixed 20 minutes ago. We were not warned. And we stayed in place for more than 90 minutes. They lost the opportunity to sell two coffees and provide good service.

Breakfast. Delicious poached eggs with spinach and with salmon. Friendly staff. Really nice place. And rocket. And some yellow sauce. Scrumalicious. value for money.

With their reputation for breads, it is no surprise to find the breakfast omelette (with prosciutto, tomato and pesto) at Breadnia nestled within a large fresh croissant. With lots of street tables and a large rambling interior, this bistro/bar can handle the crowds and is understandably popular. The wait staff were efficient and multilingual - yes, English is spoken here if you need it. Fitting its baking point-of-difference, every cup of coffee comes with a small freshly-baked cookie or wafer. The breakfast menu is vast, with more than a dozen options. The street tables have umbrellas if you need the shade and the Bistro faces West (it's on the East side of Piotrkowska), so in Summer, early morning (it's one of the few places open by 9 am) you have natural shade and as the sun comes round you can enjoy its warm while sipping great coffee. Don't neglect to look up at the ornate and eclectic Secessionist building itself, which has been beautifully renovated, and houses the Samorządowe Kolegium Odwoławcze w Łodzi (Local Government Appeal Board in Łódź).

We had brunch there and it was lovely. The girl that served us was friendly. They had so many interesting options that I didn't know what to order. The portions are big and all for a good price.

A complete 5 star. Huge space, awesome location, fresh and actually really cafe food. Everything about this place was wonderful, right from what you order, the colorful place with a good mix of bread and veggies and sides. I haven't been in this good cafe in a long time. The waiting time is very low and you can always rely on their freshly baked bread options. Even if you don't have much time in the city you can't miss this place. Thank you so much for awesome breakfast on chilly morning.
