I stayed in Zakopane for 4 nights for a walking break in the Tatras mountains. We noticed this restaurant while wondering through the town in the evening. The menu outside was on a screen (digital) which is a very modern feature. I was drawn to so many features of the restaurant - the fish, the outdoor covered seating area, the outdoor heaters by each table, the sheepskin padding on the backrests of the chairs, the dividers between the tables providing protection and of course the extensive menu. We sat outdoors and had the most delicious meal. There was so much choice especially in the sauces for the salmon and trout dishes. I had difficulty deciding as so many dishes sounded so tasty. The food did not disappoint. Another bonus was the choice of none alcoholic drinks. I always struggle when the choice is only fizzy drinks but this place had fresh apple or carrot juice too. The service was a little slow once we were shown to a table but once the menus arrived the service was more prompt. We enjoyed this place so much we ate here 2 consecutive nights which as we only stayed in Zakopane for 4 nights says a lot about how impressed we were with this restaurant. When I visit Zakopane again I will be sure to eat here. Highly recommend.

I somehow didn't like the waiters suggestions and the food was average. The tea with honey was too sweet and when I asked some more lemon, they declined. Even presentation is okayish as you can see. Maybe other dishes are better but if you are eating a fish with cranberries and apricots be prepared to eat fish with jam in a way. The chips with the fish was also not crispy. And it is expensive.
This is the best place in Zakopane in my opinion. I'm coming here everytime visiting the mountains. Delicious menu with different type of food always cooked in perfect, regional alcohol, hall inside and terrace over a tiny river.
Many variety of Polish cuisine. The restaurant is clean, spacious as well as clean toalet. Options for seating inside or outside. Good portion and good food. We ordered child menu with chicken soup and hamburger with chips. While the adults ate goulash, onion soup and meat pierogi. Quite expensive but what can you expect from restaurant in the heart of famous street in Zakopane. Quick service and friendly staff.

I have visited this restaurant last year (2018) just after new years day!! I really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. The place is very cozy and traditional, the food was excellent and the prices were very reasonable! I visited the restaurant again a year after and I brought a lot of friends because I liked the place so much the previous year. It felt like a different place, I was very embarrassed because the food was not so good as I promised to my friends and the staff was not so friendly as before!!! I recommend it but not very strongly!!
Really nice and friendly waitress. She gave good food advices and all the time was smiling. Food very good and not too small portions so we left full.
A great place in the heart of Zakopane for having a proper grilled food meal (specially fish)! The decoration is quite typical, the staff very nice and the price alright. I recommend the grilled mountain cheese as a starter, then the grilled salmon or the grilled trout.
