We booked an SUV and got a beaten up Hyundai wagon. The car looked like it had been through a demolition derby. They offered a refund but all the other agents were booked out.

NEVER USE THIS COMPANY! They may offer good prices but don’t be fooled! There is always a catch! The had to pay 3 times as much as original price just because my credit card didn’t have my full name, just the first initial and surname. They made me pay special insurance and the price of full tank of petrol so I could take the car. Said that was their policy. Never heard that before and rented a car in many European countries.
Making up fake charges 1 week (!) after returning the car. Their whole business model is a scam. Can only advise to never choose this company.

We prepaid the car online. On arrival there was nobody at the desk. We tried to call the number left at the counter. We got answer at 4th attempt and were told to wait 10-15 min. We waited 50. Then my cc was not accepted to take security deposit as it was due to expire in 3 months. The guy dealing with us said its not his fault and pointed something in the contract the card must be valid minimum 6 months. When I said I want to cancel the deal and get the refund I was told we will not get the refund. Again the guy pointed something in the contract that the car must be cancelled at least 24 hours before arrival. I started to read the contract with him. There was also a point I can cancel even at the desk and get 90% refund. When asked why he didn't mention that to me the guy said he doesn't need to know every point in the contract. At the end I had to pay \extra insurance\ which was as much as I prepaid originally. Basically I was charged twice. The company is a total scam. For your own benefit don't come anywhere close to them, avoid at all cost.
Avoid this company at all costs. When collecting the car, my credit card was not accepted as it had my first initial then surname, instead of first name in full. Because of this, the guy at the desk said I had to pay for fully comp insurance so I wouldn't have to pay a charge for anything else. He even said \you don't even need to clean it\. I paid the fully comp fee (didn't have much choice) which more than doubled the initial rental cost. I'm shocked to see they have charged me 60 extra for eturning the vehicle dirty\. Absolute fraudsters and will never use them again. Please just pay a bit extra for Hertz or Europcar and save yourself this stress.
Cheats, would not take a standard creditcard with initials. Forcing instead to pre pay gas and take full insurance. Asked hertz counter next door, and confirmed that credit card is absolutely Ok. Intentional scheme to cheat people.
