The Polish Research Centre for Law and Economy of China (波中法律研究中心) is a research unit of the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Warsaw, established for the primary purpose of conducting academic research in areas of law and economy of modern day China, as well as publishing the resulting analyses and papers. The main objective of the Centre is to develop Sino-Polish relations in four fields; research, business, governmental cooperation and students’ exchange. The Center’s activities in these four areas are aimed at improving the quality of legal research in Poland (scientific excellence) and implementation of innovative solutions in legal research that contributes to the synergy between science, business and society. Centre is a new hub for innovative academic and business activities established as a part of the Faculty of Law and Administration University of Warsaw. At the moment the Centre coordinates academic exchanges between Faculty of Law and China University of Political Science and Law, Peking University School of Law, Chinese Academy of Social Science and China Institute of Industrial Relations, conducts research on two thematic areas – law and economy of the People’s Republic of China – and forms a platform of communication between experts on China in Poland. New political initiatives in our region like Cooperation between China and Central and Eastern European Countries (16 + 1) or One Belt OneRoad has opened a new chapter in Sino-Polish relations. The Centre wants to serve as the most prominent and high quality point of reference for the study of Chinese law and economy, both domestically and abroad.
