Stowarzyszenie Miłość Nie Wyklucza is a national non-governmental organization committed to introducing marriage equality in Poland. Our goal is to ensure the right to marry for all, regardless of their sexual orientation and gender identity. Our association was founded in 2009 (at first as an informal group) by a team of activists, volunteers and allies committed to securing full equality for LGBT+ persons, especially in terms of their right to marry. Based in Warsaw, we work on a national level. We have been running a continuous social campaign for the right to marry since 2009. Our legal experts co-wrote the civil unions bills introduced to the Polish parliament in 2013. Our strategic goal is to achieve the introduction of a law on marriage equality for LGBT people in Poland by the year 2025. Furthermore, we are actively promoting social acceptance of same-sex couples in order to strengthen and stabilise the support rate for the idea of marriage equality. We are also working for building a grassroots civil movement supporting marriage equality. In order to meet our strategic goal, we have developed the Strategy for Introducing Marriage Equality in Poland for 2016–2025, in which we have defined our three operational goals: 1. Creating political will for introducing marriage equality (political lobbying, strategic litigation, educational trainings for politicians and lawyers, election monitoring, incorporating the idea of marriage equality into the human rights and defence of democracy movements) 2. Increasing public support for marriage equality (social campaigns, media cooperation, public opinion polls, increasing the visibility of LGBT persons in the public space, building a community of allies) 3. Increasing the potential of LGBT organisations (building a coalition of LGBT organisations, cooperating with non-governmental organisations, acting on the local and regional levels)
