Aware of the inefficiency and outdatedness of the technology used today, we teamed up to transform the food industry for the sake of people and our planet. foodtech.ac is Poland's first startup accelerator for food-oriented initiatives. Our country is the land of great innovators, scientists, food producers and investors. Plenty of people are ready to invest money, time and effort in pursuit of the food of tomorrow. Therefore in 2019 we started building community that brings together their needs and fosters them - the foundation of #foodtechac was given a birth. Throughout 2019 two amazing batches took place, emerging 9 outstanding startups out of the 120+ applications. Founders of those final startups have gone through 2 months of intensive training and mentoring. They all started with product-vision. Within just few months most of them turned their ideas into reality and created ready-to-sell products and solutions. Currently, some of them are being vetted by VC funds to be invested in and first regular sells are noted down. Range of products is broad - from vegan chicken (Qurczak), through vertical farms producing leafs and medical components (Polish Greens and Vertigo Farms) to insects based pet food and IT systems allowing gastronomies to cut down the food waste (KuminSys).
