Well kept museum of the death camp and forced labor for the German war machine. Very educational in 3 languages. Polish. German and English. Very sad but worth the trip.

What a sobering place. It feels insensitive to say that I had a great time. I had a tour by Thomas, an English speaking tour guide: I highly recommend having an expert show you around to explain the history behind this tragic place. It's the first time I've been to Poland, and to a concentration camp. We really must never forget the atrocities that happened at places like this. The juxtaposition between the rusty barbwire and watch towers seen alongside the natural beauty of the camps surroundings are haunting.

A very impressive historical place to be and to see. It is full of memories and well preserved. The surroundings are quite beautiful especially during the autumn. The museum has free entrance but you have to pay for parking. Definitely worth the trip.

Very sad to see so terrible things there but if you want to pay respect for those behind us highly recommend that you go there

The place is not difficult to find and there is no entry fee. It has a car park and free WC. Now a little about the camp itself. It was tremendous experience to see all the buildings, rigged fence, gas chamber etc... you can almost feel the strange energy that this place holds. However, it could have a little more signs in Eglish for tourists. I have also done some research and found that according to some locals, the numbers of people killed should be multiplied by some factors because the woods around the camp still have a lot of history hidden under ground (if you dig deeper you can find many more shoes, clothing from people that have been killed there by Germans).

It is a special place with a sad history. Almost everything is translated to german or english and you can normally look into several buildings with exhibits from the earlier time. Unfortunately this time did not allow this, some building were closed down, due to the pandemic. We would have loved to take a peak into the live of the prisoners.

I highly recommend to visit the museum a visit. It's a reminder for what happened in the past. The impression is very shocking with which kind of cruelty and hate acted and murdered. The cinema of the museum is closed and some of the barracks too because of Covid-19. You can have guided tours for 80 PLN in Polish (max 10 each group) or 180 PLN for different languages. It's limited parking space. Don't forget to take your masks with you because of Covid-19.
