To be honest I wouldn’t bother going to this museum if you only speak English. No audio guides available and the staff were actually quite rude. The only saving grace is the observation deck which has a nice view over Poznan.

One of the best musuems I've ever seen! Not only located in a splendid reconstruction but curated with such a great taste and attention to detail. This could easily take you all day if you don't want to snap and go but rather take in all it has to offer. There are detailed description in both Polish and English not only for ALL the items but you will find ample introductions for people who want to learn. The organization of the whole thing is chronological and you can't get lost. Everything is modern too, a perfect experience blending in old and new
It's beautiful
This museum was just recently renovated, located a few minutes away from the Rynek. When you have visitors from out of town, this should be the first place to go to see the panoramic view of Poznań from very high above. It offers breathtaking views of the entire city. On the way up, you can learn about the history of Poznań and its surrounding areas. It also gives you a glimpse of what the city looked like centuries ago (building walls, pavement and so on). It gets crowded on weekends so it is suggested to visit on a weekday. Highly recommended!

An amazing castle. Must visit
Great! Good staff and atmosphere! The castle has access to the terraces, from which the beautiful view of the city opens. There is also a wonderful museum. the oldest royal residence in Poland, founded by the Polish king Przemysl II. The construction of the fortress lasted from the end of the XIII to the middle of the XV century. The castle was partially destroyed during the Northern War and rebuilt at the end of the 18th century. The buildings finally died during the Second World War. At the beginning of the 21st century, the castle was rebuilt in the alleged (albeit far from reality) forms of the 16th century. If you visit Poznan you MUST be here!
