OMG me and my wife was searching for a karaoke bar Initially but it was closed. My wife suggested we go into the restaurant next door for a beer to find another location but we was greeted my a waiter who sat us in the beautiful gardens within the grounds. He then proceeded to share so much history of poland throughout the years, this included pictures with a wealth of knowledge. This is a gem of a place.

By sheer luck we stumbled into Kawaleria. We were around the main square and looking for something local to eat. Google suggested this place and what sealed the deal was that it was just a few yards away from us. However what we did not expect at all was the amazing food, desserts and the sheer presentation of it all. The space itself is so full of history and character that is not easily found these days. Walls full of art and b&w pictures of people, horses of a different era. Loads of seats to choose your preferred nook and then a whole courtyard straight out of an old French classic movie. Being the lean season post Christmas, it was sparsely populated with guests and that allowed us to take in the charm fully. I would love to come here in spring summer just to experience that courtyard. We all vowed to come back (and we were not drunk :-) ).
Great place! Very good cuisine, with good products. Good service as well with nice people. Don't forget to request the wine list, they have a great selection.
What a place, amazing food, great quality and prices plus friendly service, highly recommended and we will be back!!
We have had lunch and we were positively surprised about the very good lunch menu at this really cheap price (35 PLN main dish plus starter or dessert). It was nice and empty, so atm an insider tip. On the downside, there is only one toilet.

Great food and lovely sorroundings. Had dinner with my family, and we got a table in a beautiful backyard. One of the best meals I have eaten in Kraków. I recommend the herring tartar for starter! The staff was also very velcoming and polite. Go there!
