A great place to take kids. Something a bit different. There is also a nice play park just up the road.

Very good place for short weekend trip. It will be very interesting for children and adults who like technics and want to know more about how railroad worked in the past. I recommend buy guided tour as well. It’s fascinatingly, cheap and very informative, but only in Polish language. There are a lot space for parking. There is small souvenirs store.
A great close up look at the trains, with a few options to look inside. Not a lot of information about, but you can go on a small train journey with a guide. Only in Polish though. Good knowledge but not a lot else to do. Maybe a good picnic spot with children to run around. The is a restaurant car here but it was not open? Small play area for toddlers.

It's my second visit here. This time round was a steam gala weekend - with many steaming locos and many static locos in one state of preservation or another. Lots of people which were well fed by an amazing array of food stands... I had the traditional Polish soup with bread and very nice it was. The turntable was being used a fair bit. All in all one of the top preserved railway sites in Poland indeed in Europe - a great day out - will be back soon.

Cool place to go with kids
Museum with a lot of interesting material (Locs & Carriages). It has potential, but bassically a big scrapyard at the moment. Visit in the weekend and take the historical train from/to Dzierzioniow.
