Sightseeing for about 2-4 hours. There are routes for exploration enthusiasts, for which headlights will be very useful. I recommend combining route red and green. Unfortunately there is not enough information about history of the fortress. In one pavilion is an interesting exhibition about Gizycko city. There are couple places for a break with a nice view on surrounding.

This was an impromptu visit at the end of winter in Poland. Will come back in summer. Great place to explore and learn the rich history. You probably need good 4 hours or so to do it. Take your time and explore.

Very interesting museum, very badly taken care off, with a little bit of effort this museum could be 10 x better.

Waste of time, all rooms are empty it's a big park with some old buildings. I do t thi k it's a palce to come with kids as they will just get bored

Quite a nice place to see, definitely worth a visit. You can go on your own and just read information boards next to each building. It may get quite boring, as many parts of fortress are look-a-likes.

Interesting historical site to visit. There's a detailed sign next to every building to explain the function of each place. There are 3 touristic routes to follow, all of them relatively easy to do. Some of the buildings are pretty much damaged and forgotten, while some others have a nice exhibit.

A large fortification built in the late 1800's modified by the the Germans in WW2. Brick buildings and earth covered curtain walls, a beautiful walk around the ramparts and a few small museums within, guided tours or just wonder around the wooded grounds.
