We wanted to reserve a tour while we were still somewhere else in Poland (Gdansk). This was impossible without pre payment. To me that is not a problem, however they do not accept any save method. They told me that a bank transfer would take too long and did not accept any other digital method (e.g. PayPal, etc). They only accept that you share your credit card number, together with the ccv code and the expiry date shared in an email. Basically everything a bank strictly advices not to do at anytime and all you need to make online purchases on your behalf. Finally we did not make a reservation and went to the office as soon a we were in the village. The result was that the time slot we discussed was already given away to other people. Luckily they had a time slot one morning later otherwise we would have driven a few hundred km's for nothing.

Exceptional guides for a magical place. If you visit Poland you should make time to visit this forest while it still exists.

Had an English speaking tour with Joanna, she was absolutely fantastic, incredibly knowledgeable and super friendly. Also, the people in the office couldn't do enough to help us with booking our tour. 5/5, would definitely recommend

Nice guided tour in protected area. The guide really knew how to share info in an interesting way and was very entertaining. Money well spent !!

Worst servis ever I think they just do not know for what touristic information are for. Robert was rude to us, never ever again. I recommend you to just watch maps infront of the center, it will give you much more information.

We booked a 6-hour \Walk to the heart of the forest\ tour with PTTK. What we got instead was disappointment. The forest was of course impressive, but we already had a ton of experience hiking impressive primeval forests. For us the main attraction was the expert guide. Any expert would do: botany, mycology, ornithology. We just wanted to geek out about anything, as long as they were passionate and could answer our bounty of questions. Unfortunately, PTTK changed our guide at the last minute from Joanna (who everyone raves about) to Kris. Kris's tour was not what we booked at all. He showed up unprepared for the wet weather (every other guide carried packs with supplies and rain gear). He rattled off facts as he went, but not in detail. He seemed unable and unprepared to answer even our most basic questions. Normally we're pretty patient about language barriers and differing presentation styles. But we specifically booked the longer, more expensive tour because we wanted an expert guide and a more conversational experience. Speaking of the longer tour, we booked 6 hours but were out of the park in barely 5. Our whole vacation was organized around this one tour. We were not happy to get short-changed. I took it up with the PTTK office but they just shrugged off the complaint. Be very careful booking with PTTK. The hefty private tour fee would have been worth it for the experience advertised. Unfortunately, the experience we got was very much not worth it.

We phoned twice in advance to confirm that a guide was available - told guides were available but that we couldn't book over phone. When we arrived there was no guide available. Not funny when you cycle from Bialystok.

Unpleasant experience. We're backpackers who can't afford to spend 258PLN plus 6PLN x2 (entrance fee). There was a French group which we were not allowed to join. The man behind the desk was unamused and dismissive. Not sure if they realise how far people come to just be immersed in nature. I respect how Białowieza NP has a restricted area, it's wonderful. But it would better if the public could have affordable access with a \chaperone\ ... Someone in the Q&A recommended this guide *see photo*. They were friendly and affordable compared to PTTK. Maybe contact them in advance to guarantee a place.
