6.10.2020 big respect for the curator of the museum....even if germans did not left a lot of evidences like in Auschwitz-the exhibition is absolutely breathtaking...its comparably short...but it makes the brain working the more...on this place max.22 SS-criminals with several thousand of local assistants wiped out centuries of jewish culture of galicia....500000 souls...in less than 2 years....and ONE(!!!!) was sentenced after war by \justice\ in germany....for 4,5 years to prison....and today you see opposite side a chimney of a wood factory....Dantes Inferno is a childrens faireytale against this...truly the human is the king of all animals..as its cruelties are so much bigger than all theirs...

Very moving. If one thinks that logistics was optimized, traces removed, even forest planted and in the meantime HALF MILLION completely innocent people killed in a matter of few moths. Good answer to question \how to remember things that vanished completely

Modern museum, lots of important pieces of information, interesting architechture. Less known than the one in Auschwitz or in Sztutowo (Stuthof) for example, which is a plus in my opinion (less visitors). I recommend it to everyone, regardless of their nationality. Attention: kids under 14 are not allowed to enter the building (they can only walk in the outside part of the museum).

For those looking for Holocaust history, there are a few unique elements to this monument. Primarily the eerie walk through the monument resembling the walk down the himmelstrasse and the easy perception of the experience of getting off the train and going straight to the gas chamber. Also be sure to check out the info in the museum as well as the meditation room designed to resemble a gas chamber.

History is really cruel and terrifying. It's a place that people should see to believe in a scale of a terror and extermination of innocent people.

Amazing place. The scale this monument is made in is unbelievable, there is a lot of symbolism involved and the museum is small but features so many stories. We took a guide, which I wouldn't do again but if you want to, the guides are alright as well.
